This Wednesday Yuba Bicycle announced a recall of nearly 1,000 of its Mundo cargo bicycles due to the potential risk of the rider getting their feet caught in the rear wheel.

These models were sold nationwide from May 2011 to December 2012 for around $1,099. The full name of the bicycle is the Mundo V4 cargo which has a 26-inch steel frame, wood utility deck on the rear rack, and aluminum fenders. For photos of the model visit http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2013/Yuba-Bicycles-Recalls-Mundo-Cargo-Bikes/.

So far there have only been two incidents where bicyclists had their feet get caught; no injuries were sustained.

If you own the Mundo V4 you should contact Yuba Bicycles to receive wheel covers/wheel skirts and have them installed; free of charge. You can contact Yuba at 877-889-9822 or online at http://yubabikes.com/recall/.
